Where is My Honor

Malachi 1:6-8 AMP

“ ‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is the [reverent] fear and respect due Me?’ says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, who despise My name. But you say, ‘How and in what way have we despised Your name?’ You are presenting defiled food upon My altar. But you say, ‘How have we defiled You?’ By thinking that the table of the LORD is contemptible and may be despised. When you [priests] present the blind [animals] for sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you present the lame and the sick, is it not evil? Offer such a thing [as a blind or lame or sick animal] to your governor [as a gift or as payment for your taxes]. Would he be pleased with you? Or would he receive you graciously?” says the LORD of hosts.

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

“You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

Taking someone’s name in vain typically refers to the misuse or disrespectful use of a name, especially of God or the sacred, as stipulated by one of the Ten Commandments in Judeo-Christian religions. It involves using the name without reverence, such as in swearing, idle talk, or for deceitful purposes, rather than with the honor or seriousness it warrants.

Honor is a concept that encompasses respect, admiration, and esteem given to someone due to their integrity, virtue, or notable achievements. It also refers to the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. In a broader sense, honor is about living up to certain ethical standards and being worthy of respect from others. Honor can also be a verb, meaning to show respect or pay homage to someone or something.

False leaders today misuse God’s name by honoring with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. To be far from Him is to lack the reverence He deserves. Therefore they use His Name to capture an audience, but they lack the honor due Him because God The Father and Jesus Christ and His Spirit become the tools to operate. And as with any kind of tool, once you are done with it, you shove it to the side till the next time you need it.

What is the offerings that the priests are supposed to offer up? Just as in the Old Testament, leaders are responsible for your souls. Hebrews 13:7 Listen to your leaders and submit to their authority over the community, for they are on constant watch to protect your souls and someday they must give account. Give them reason to be joyful and not to regret their duty, for that will be of no good to you. This verse is about good and holy leaders. How much more worse it will be for those who claim to be your leaders when not giving the honor due to the Godhead? For the false leaders will lead you astray. Luke 17:1 Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 2It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. 3Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

This verse covers your leaders as well. We are not to rebuke the devil, for not even angels rebuke the devil. Rather we rebuke the person who has agreed with the devil because in doing so we also simultaneously are rebuking Satan at the same time. We are to submit to God and then the devil will flee. Therefore if we are taught differently, we are misusing the Word of God or disrespecting Him by not loving what He said in the first place.

Honor is the initial thing that God spoke in His commandments. “I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other gods before Me. If the leader is not submitted to God, the leader will produce rotten fruit and then offer it up to God with no regard of what He is offering up. He will offer up your souls to God as though they were something to be cherished. Some congregations will be filled with the lame, the sick, and the defiled, all because they have been eating polluted or contaminated bread. Somehow the Almighty God has been replaced by the Almighty Dollar. Somehow these leaders have offered up money, your money, as a sacrifice, garnered from filthy bread and placed on the Lord’s table. However the bible clearly states: 
1Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God

This is a new era, a new day and the Lord’s table will be purified. This is a prophecy that you can count on.
