All over the world we see the symbol of a fish with the name of Jesus within the borders of the fish. People often call it the Jesus fish. But what if I were to tell you that the symbolism is wrong. Jesus told His disciples to first follow Him and then He would make them ‘fishers of men.’ Therefore He wasn’t calling them fish, He was calling them ‘fisherman.’ He used the context because the disciples were fisherman and they could relate to what He was saying. Were they to be fisherman of fish? No they were to be fishers of men. They were called to be fishermen of people instead of fish.
Look at how many of you have been fooled by such a small thing.
