Blasphemy vs God’s Love

Mark 3:28-30: “Truly I tell you, all sins and blasphemes will be forgiven for the sons of men. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin. He said this because they [the Pharisees] were saying, ‘He has an evil spirit’.”

What is blasphemy? Blasphemy is what is called a profane thing. It is the same word where get the word “profanity.” Profanity is not only a curse word in the present day sense, but more importantly profanity to God is anything that speaks against or anything that makes God look like a liar. Blasphemy is an offensive thing. It is the swearing of allegiance or vows. to God while doing the will of Satan. It is anything that is said or done that goes against the Word and Will of God. The Spirit of God contains the motives (the will of God) of why He sends His Word.  We must remember that Lucifer was cast out of heaven as a “profane thing.” In the book of Ezekiel Satan filled the King of Tyre. He was the spirit which operated in the king of Tyre, for the king did whatever the spirit of Satan told him to do. Therefore God spoke to Satan within the king saying:

Ezekiel 28: “By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence, And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire.

To operate according to the spirit of Lucifer within Satan, one must go against the Will of God; being the Holy Spirit of God. This is the most Holy thing that anyone human or not can speak against or deny. If we know the truth and we go against God’s will in the Truth and we do it on purpose, we are not forgiven.

Does this separate us from God’s love? (Romans 8:38)  No it doesn’t separate us from God’s love, rather it is our choice to sin against Him that shows our lack of love for Him.

We ought to be careful to think that we can do anything we want because God’s grace covers us. God’s grace covers for what you don’t know about the Truth. However God’s grace does not cover what you willingly defy in order to do or get your own way.

Hebrews 10:26 For there is no longer any sacrifice that will take away sins if we purposely go on sinning after the truth has been made known to us.

To sin against the Will and Word  of God is to sin against the Holy Spirit. Be sure you don’t allow Satan to trick you into believing that just because God loves you, that He will overlook your willful disobedience. Rather you should be looking at just how much of Satan’s spirit really rules in you.
