Temptation and Desire

God does not tempt but He does test. No one is to say that God tempts them. However man can only be tempted by one thing. That thing is called ‘his own desires.’

What is the biblical definition of being tempted? According to God Himself ‘a person is tempted when he is lured and enticed.”What is he lured and enticed by? Each person is lured and enticed by his own desires; which are always opposed to God’s desires.

Human desires or desires that go against the motivations of God, are troubles that God did not authorize. These desires containing troubles give birth to evil and they grow in the womb called deceit.

Job 15:35

35  They conceive trouble and give birth to evil,
and their womb prepares deceit.”

These desires make us feel powerful, hopeful and promote our own agenda. These are the roots of human desire. The sense of power and selfish agendas lure us and entice us. They are our own desires and God considers them evil. These desires are the seeds of sin. Human desires are meant to be nurtured and tended to by fulfilling their every need. Consequently while we fill those human desires, we at the same time are forsaking God’s desires. When we have made them a lifestyle, spiritual and at times even natural death is inevitable.

We are to die to the will of Satan (false holy spirit-the spirit of temptation) and do so by killing those desires with the help of God’s Holy Spirit. When we make a  practice doing what God wants, we in turn  kill the flesh of our own desires. Through this process God is glorified continually.

We must remember that Satan is a counterfeit god. He is a father-father of lies. He has a son called ‘a false prophet.’ He has a spirit called the anti-christ spirit, because it comes against the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit’s will and plans. If you are reborn, you will seek out God’s desires and then God will give you the desires of your heart.

(Jas 1:14–15).

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

God cannot tempt you, but He will test your faith in Him. Each time any desire rises up in you, know that Satan is looking for his own sons. When you give into those desires, you are actually saying yes to allowing him to tempt you. Just like Adam and Eve in the garden, Eve gave into her own desires while disobeying the Words from God. Therefore she couldnt disobey God without first giving into her own desires. She gave birth to a sinful world and Jesus came to restore mankind back to God. God will not tempt you, because the spirit of antichrist is not in Him. But if you are tempted and you give birth to things not of God, you deny God’s Holy Spirit because you are bowing down to fulfilling the acts of rebellion.

In the end you cannot blame it on the devil. It is your responsibility to overcome Him because Christ has already overcome the world. Therefore you have no excuse.

Now you have some insight on how false prophets work with you. They lure you in by their own desires, by appealing to your own desires. Why do they work this way? Because their father is Satan, they work as a false prophet while doing what goes against God’s Word and Will. So check your desires then check the prophet who gives you the word. Unless those two things line up with the motivations and the Holy Will of God, you are operating in the spirit of antichrist.
