Jesus was not a motivational speaker. He was an inspirational speaker because His words came from God so that you could know God in heaven. Motivational speakers speak about you, empowering yourself, living YOUR best life. However, Jesus spoke of humility, grace and empowering others through helping, through grace and through humility. Man’s idea of prosperity is making money and living one’s own version of their own ideas. Motivational preachers teach people to discover and own your life. But the bible says “you are not your own.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Therefore anyone who builds their own life without holiness really doesn’t have LIFE at all.
