We are to be holy as He is holy. Holiness does not come easy. It is through the process of trial and hardship that holiness is fashioned. You must be broken before you can be remade. You must be led to a place where you see you as God sees you. In this you will be able to see that you are not as holy as you believe you are. It is then that you must look at yourself and begin the process of walking back home to your Father. When we return to Him, we leave the ugliness He has shown us and submit to every command He sets forth. Through trials and hardships we begin to see Him clearer as we walk our way back into His Presence. Holiness is not about gifts, it’s not about how much scripture you can dissect or read. It’s about being able to survive in the mighty and powerful presence of the Father Himself.
