Hypocrites/Pharisees tithe and forget about seeking justice for the poor and feeding those who need to be fed. But Jesus said to tithe and seek justice for the poor and feed those who need to be fed. He said to do both. So we tithe and we feed those who need to be fed. We seek justice so that they can be free from their oppressors…who are the oppressors? The hypocrites and the pharisees, because they only do half of what Jesus commanded.So if you do the first part and neglect the last part or if you do the last part and forget the first part, then count yourself as a pharisee.
Luke 11:42 “What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.
